For Teachers

Lucinda has worked with a number of schools as a consultant, speaker and trainer.  She is passionate about using psychology to support everyday classroom practice.  In her teaching role she works with colleagues to develop teaching and learning using evidence informed practice.  She regularly presents to teachers at conferences and for INSET on a wide range of topics including:

  • Supporting Students with exam anxiety
  • Teaching revision strategies to reduce stress
  • Positive Wellbeing:10 ways to improve classroom wellbeing
  • The Teenage brain – Screens, sleep and Study: Understand your audience
  • Whole School Mental Health and Wellbeing

In addition schools have used The Psychology in the Classroom podcast as the basis for a Q&A discussion session at twilight INSET.

Parent workshops
All schools recognise that to maximise impact of these talks getting parents on board is essential, so that messages at home and in school are consistent. These five parent workshops run alongside the workshops for teachers:

  • The Teenage brain – Screens, Sleep and Study
  • Supporting your child’s revision to reduce stress
  • Supporting your child with exam anxiety
  • Nurturing a Growth Mindset in your child
  • Positive Wellbeing – 10 ways to improve wellbeing in your home.

Student talks and workshops

Sometimes having someone different in to deliver information can be effective. Any of the workshops above can be adapted for students encouraging positive attitudes to study, screens, wellbeing and mental health all underpinned by psycho-education.

Want something different?

Bespoke workshops can be created to suit your school so if you can't see what you want please do get in touch to discuss your needs.
